Czech Republic

One of my favorite journey and first experience in Europe was a family trip to Prague, Czech Republic. With our ancestry leading us back to our native country, we were able to learn and see our family’s history in the historically beautiful city.

On the Charles Bridge, where this photo was taken, stood many vendors offering scenic paintings, photographs and musicians. The atmosphere was bustling on Prague’s oldest and most historic bridge, which was constructed under King Charles IV beginning in 1357.

Aerial views of the city are gorgeous, even from our hotel room. The city is painted with pastel-painted buildings and orange tile roofs.

The John Lennon wall is a popular tourist destination and since it is always changing, travelers are always guaranteed a unique experience here. Since the 1980s it has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti and pieces of lyrics from Beatles’ songs.
